The labmobile comes equipped for several workshops. Let us know if you‘d like to host one of them at your space, or if you have other ideas what to do!

  • Drawdio A Pencil that lets you draw music
„Imagine you could draw musical instruments on normal paper with any pencil (cheap circuit thumb-tacked on) and then play them with your finger. The Drawdio circuit-craft lets you MacGuyver your everyday objects into musical instruments: paintbrushes, macaroni, trees, grandpa, even the kitchen sink…“
This project by Jay Silver is an all-time favorite that has been widely replicated, remixed, and adapted.
  • Chibitronics Learn Technology through Arts & Crafts
„Chibitronics makes circuit stickers and other tools for paper circuits, which blends circuit building and programming with arts and crafts. It’s a friendly way to learn, design and create your own electronics.“
We come with circuit stickers, copper tape, and one version of the Love to Code book by this wonderful team!
  • Bare Conductive
„Bare Conductive produces a suite of printed electronics products that enable individuals and companies to integrate electronics directly into the environment. Their conductive paint and easy-to-use development kits let anyone prototype their electronic visions of the future.“
With the starter kit, some aluminum foil and creativity, we can turn your wall into a drum kit or piano – tried and tested for example by the Come_IN Computer Clubs!
  • There are plenty of Soil Moisture Sensors around – from simple DIY versions to fancy commercial versions. We can build the simple ones, as well as some that include an Arduino and a bit of programming. The Labmobile also comes with 2 sets of the 37 in 1 Arduino Sensor Kits – let‘s hack some!

  • Data Detox Kits
„The Data Detox Kit’s clear suggestions and concrete steps help people harness all aspects of their online lives, making more informed choices and changing their digital habits in ways that suit them.“
Tactical Tech gave the Labmobile 50 Data Detox Kits to start conversations and thinking about online habits. They are happy to talk about localization of the content!
  • Reimagine Open
Mozilla recently started a global discussion about the future of the open web. Many voices have not yet been heard, so let‘s have a Focus Group Discussion with your community!
  • Privacy Illustrated
This project by Carnegie Mellon University collects drawings from all over the world that visually answer the question: „What does privacy mean to you?“ Let’s contribute to the gallery and discuss with your community!
  • Careables
„A Careable in as open solution that aims to improve the quality of life for people with unmet needs or facing physical limitations. Careables are co-designed, replicable, accessible, adjustable and shareable online using digital technologies. Careables is a new category that promises readily customized solutions and a horizontal and collaborative approach to health and care.“
Let‘s ideate, let‘s co-design, let‘s prototype! Happy to host an ideation session at your space!

  • There are lots of wonderful ideas for learning STEAM – Science, Technology, Art and Maths – around the world. The Labmobile brings with it some DEXT Science Kits and materials from Karkhana‘s Beecreative project.
  • If you are stuck in your agile transformation process, if you or your Kanban Facilitator / Scrum Master need a springboard, if you‘ve heard of agile and would like to give it a try: Vicy is an Agile Coach and Systemic Organizational Consultant and happy to assist!

Movie Night

Some great stories have been told about innovators on the African continent – the Labmobile brings two of them with it and we are excited to have screenings with you!

  • AfricaHackTrip
We are a group of developers and designers from Europe. When we heard about the emerging African tech hubs we decided to take a trip to connect and exchange with local communities.
We met incredible people, shared ideas and experiences and built things together. We learned about cool projects and unique challenges, visited amazing spaces, and – most importantly – made friends.
  • Digital Africa
„Digital Africa“ is a multi-platform documentary project about digital innovations and modern technology made in Africa. It’s produced by Berlin based film production company berlin producers in cooperation with French-German TV ARTE and supported by GIZ, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, GIG, re:publica and others.
